They also spent a lot of time with each other, talking and playing face to face, not on a screen like today. They used their imagination and creativity more than we do.

•  Bob: I agree with Alice. I think they had more fun and less stress than we do. They didn't have to worry about exams, homework, social media, or peer pressure. They enjoyed the simple things in life, like reading, writing, or eating street food. They also had more respect for their elders and traditions.

•  Cindy: I disagree with Alice and Bob. I think the pastimes of young people in the past were very boring and limited. They didn't have many choices or opportunities to explore the world. They didn't have access to technology, entertainment, or information like we do. They were isolated and ignorant of many things. They also had to face many hardships and challenges, like poverty, disease, or war.

•  David: I have a different opinion from all of you. I think the pastimes of young people in the past were not better or worse than ours, just different. They suited the time and the environment they lived in. They had their own advantages and disadvantages, joys and sorrows, hopes and dreams. We can't judge them by our standards, because we live in a different era. We can only learn from them and appreciate them.
